The House of Angostura – The Next Chapter
Iconic new look – same timeless legacy
Cane Rum Society invites you to a launch event with The House of Angostura – with full focus on the new premium packaging and of course the rum behind the label.
The evening is hosted by Daniyel Jones, Global Brand Ambassador for The House of Angostura®, and revolves around how almost 200 years of continuous blending tradition now meets a new visual expression. The iconic butterfly has been given a more prominent role on the bottle – but in the glass the style is the same: consistent, dry-elegant, distillery-typical Angostura.
During the tasting we delve into:
How Angostura’s style-typical format of long fermentation, own yeast culture and blending over generations
What the new design actually represents – historically and technically
Angostura’s all female team of rum blenders
Angostura premium range, tasted with a focus on structure, balance and barrel influence

In Hagastaden in Stockholm hides a Caribbean gem specializing in Caribbean cuisine & rum -- this combined rum bar and restaurant (Cane Rum Society) is co owned by Duane Paul Shepherd.
Rum has followed Duane through most of his life. Already at the very tender age of 16 he opened his first restaurant opposite a rum distillery in Trinidad. He later moved to London to “broaden his horizons,” and this is where he began working with different rum brands which helped him to broaden his knowledge and deepen his love for rum. Today he can sometimes be found hosting private events and rum tasting experiences at Cane Rum Society.
